June 27, 2010“Depressed” by Charles Kent Purcell II
May 30, 2011The 2010 Moose Convention was scheduled to be in Nashville at the Opryland Hotel. When the hotel was closed due to the Nashville flood, the Moose very graciously chose to keep the convention in Nashville, despite their plans being affected. Convention-goers were split between multiple hotels, and the events were all in the Municipal Auditorium downtown. Shuttle-buses were provided to take Moose members from hotel to Municipal Auditorium and back, making travel as convenient as possible given the location move.
The whole thing was very well organized and I have to express appreciation to the Loyal Order of Moose for keeping their event in Nashville when so many other conventions have cancelled and moved to other cities because of the flood.
Nashville appreciates it. I’m proud to be a new member of the Women of the Moose.
